The Art of Elysium, a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization founded in 1997, encourages working actors, artists and musicians to voluntarily dedicate their time and talent to children who are battling serious medical conditions. We provide artistic workshops in the following disciplines: acting, art, comedy, fashion, music, radio, songwriting and creative writing.
Youth-focused organizations Relativity supports include The Art of Elysium, which encourages actors, artists and musicians to volunteer their time and talent to leading workshops for children battling serious medical conditions; Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters, which helps underserved children achieve their potential through mentoring; and the Sheriff’s Youth Foundation, which provides at-risk Los Angeles County children with safe opportunities to develop life skills
Relativity contributes to several leading organizations promoting medical research into life-threatening and debilitating diseases. Among them are the National MS Society, which seeks to rid the world of multiple sclerosis, the March of Dimes Foundation, whose mission is to reduce the incidence and impact of birth defects, and AmFar, which supports HIV/AIDS research. Relativity is also a supporter of the Motion Picture & Television Fund, which for over 90 years has offered programs to meet the health and human services needs of Southern California’s entertainment community.
Other charities Relativity supports include the Simon Wiesenthal Center, a global Jewish human rights organization that confronts hate and terrorism and promotes human rights and dignity; and Artists for Peace and Justice, a nonprofit group funding hospitals, schools and orphanages in Haiti’s impoverished communities. In addition, Relativity is proud to employ members of Best Buddies, an organization dedicated to creating employment and leadership opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Ryan Kavanaugh, Relativity’s founder and CEO, is the driving force behind the company’s extensive philanthropic involvement. He has been recognized for his charitable work by such esteemed organizations as Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, whose Board of Governors honored him with its Hollywood Humanitarian Award; the Sheriff’s Youth Foundation, which presented him with its Community Champion Award in recognition of his outstanding dedication to inner-city young people; and by First Star for his dedication to improving life for child victims of abuse and neglect. Kavanaugh will also be honored this fall with the 2011 Entertainment Industry Award by the Anti-Defamation League, a group committed to fighting anti-Semitism and bigotry of all kinds. The award is given to individuals who demonstrate leadership and extraordinary innovation in the entertainment industry. Kavanaugh serves as the Chairman of the Board for The Art of Elysium.
Best Buddies is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
Mission: To enrich the lives of people in our Southern California entertainment community by continuously evolving to meet their health and human services needs. We are dedicated to offering programs and charitable services which are provided with compassion and respect for the dignity of the whole person.
Curing cancer, heart disease, brain tumors, neurological disorders; ensuring access to life-changing medicine for children, women, and underserved communities...these are some of the great health challenges of our time. Each research project under way in our laboratories holds the promise of discovery, and cures or treatments for our patients.
Big Brothers Big Sisters partners with individual donors, foundations, corporations, governments, and others to build the critical network of support that funds and enables the work of carefully matching children with caring adult mentors and providing ongoing support to the child, volunteer mentor and child’s family.
The Anti-Defamation League was founded in 1913 "to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all." Now the nation's premier civil rights/human relations agency, ADL fights anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry, defends democratic ideals and protects civil rights for all.
Founded in 1941, is made up of men and women primarily in the entertainment industry who raise the much-needed funds to provide lifesaving support for disabled, abused, physically-challenged, and underprivileged children in the Southern California community. We are proud that 84 cents of every dollar raised from our major fundraisers goes directly to the children we serve. The proceeds raised from this event will support programs in the areas of Education, Health Care, and Mobility, serving children in need across Southern California.
